Attention all parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles alike...
Presenting:
"A Spiritual Garden: Looking Through Children's Eyes"
Hardback, ISBN 978-0-9811315-5-9, pages TBD
For publication May 2011
We're approaching a very special age in the universe. One that unites all of humanity. Children are first to notice this and have talked about it. My own children have expressed things through artwork and stories, dreams and poetry. They have a desire to have their voices be heard. So, I'm offering a gift of opportunity for them to wish upon a star and have a story or poem of theirs be put into a new book that will be published by The Tenth Muse Books. Similar in style to Robert Louis Stevenson's "A Child's Garden of Versus", this book will be a garden enriched with many spiritual flowers. I can't wait to see what our children will write and draw, their amazing visions, shared for generations. Please take a moment to consider this, what a gift it will mean to them and you.
Once published, this book will be available through the publisher's website,
as well as Amazon.com, B&N, Chapters and other online bookstores.
There is no charge for submissions and children may enter as often as they like up to five entries. I will include as many as possible, all if I can. But a book can only be so large ;) The stories will be grouped by age. Please see specifications below for how to submit to this book.

Looking for submissions for a new children’s book, written by children, for children:
The theme is:
"What Spirit means to me?"
All original stories must be written by children between ages 4 and 12. Stories may be fiction or biographical related to the topic of spirituality or how they see SPIRIT in their life. I ask that it be different from a bible story, and more geared towards how they personally have experienced something that is miraculous and special. Most importantly is to be creative and to have fun. A fictional story is fine too. Children make great storytellers. It may incorporate fantasy, or angels, or talking animals, walking trees ... just be creative and positive. This is a book that celebrates the beauty of the world through children's eyes. Getting them to write about their experiences or create poetry also opens up their eyes to what Spirit really is. Parents: it will connect you with your children in ways you've never seen before. All they need is a pencil and paper to get started. Ask them to write a story about something they like and go from there.
Ideas can begin from a spark of inspiration...
"I've had a particular spiritual experience I wish to share... it happened when I was just X years old... " ~
"When my grandfather passed away, I saw his spirit wave to me..." ~
"A butterfly landed on me and stayed there and I felt this connection to something bigger than me..." ~
"I thought I saw an angel or a fairy once..." ~
"Once upon a time there was a child in a garden of imagination..."
